This oughta be a good topic of discussion. Recently in a Detroit newspaper I read that the Pope himself actually agreed that Allah and Jehovah are the same. LOL Well I knew this was coming because the Pope is not a man of God at all. He exhalts himself, kinda similar to what Satan did. So always remember, to all you antiChristians..... Please DO NOT put all Christians in the same category. If they say they are Christian, they may just be using it as a crutch. You WILL know them by their fruits. Getting back on subject, what do you think about these hidious accusations made by the Catholic Pope?? Oh not to mention he actually took part in worship with Muslims to worship Allah. Wow what a slap in the face of Jesus. If people would open their eyes they would see that these very things are writen in the Word of God. Are we really that blind???

hello, katy! first of all i'm interested to see the newspaper article itself.. do you have a copy or website link for that? please i wanna read it, too. here's my comment: it is really true that we are blind by religious leaders... it's a sign that even those clergies are spiritualy hungry buecause most of them are enfatuated of glory & fame. same thing happen in Jesus' time. As for the noun Allah, i believe that it is NOT a personal name, it's a title, an Arabic form of God in English, equivalent to Elohim in Hebrew and Theos in Greek. As for the name Jehovah, it is supported of the Holy bible that it is the Personal Name of God as you can read in Exodus 6:3 & Psalms 83:18 (King James Version). Use this link for comparison of different bible versions: http://bible.c/exodus/6-3.htm . Most of the bible translation today do not use the name of the True God but instead they replace it with the title Lord or God in capital letters, but the latest versions, for instance New King James Version, do not care at all that they totally omitted the holy name and didn't go through the tradition of replacing Jehovah's name with the title Lord & God in capital letters. Omitting of God's name in the Holy Bible caused us religious vagueness, confusion among us regarding true faith, that most of us mistaking Jesus as the same as Jehovah, and of course, the doctrine of mysterious Holy Trinity. I could accept that Yahweh & Jehovah are names referring the same person which is God himself. Yahweh is TRANSLITERATION of the Tetragrammaton (YHWH or JHVH) from Hewbrew which is TRANSLATED to English as Jehovah. you may not agree with my respond but i think you know the importance of that name.. "Our Father wich art in heaven, Hallowed be thy NAME" Matthew 6:9 (King James Version) "Whosoever shall CALL on the name of Jehovah shall be delivered" Joel 2:32 (American Standard Version) "And this is the ETERNAL LIFE, that they should KNOW thee, the onlye true God, and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent" John 17:3 (Darby Translation)

Hi thanks for your lengthly response. I on the other hand believe that Jesus Christ is God manifested in the flesh. He is the expressed image of God. Read John 1-10 and 1:14. That is one example of Scripture. Jesus said when you see me you see the Father. Remember why he was crucified....... because of 'blasphemy' or claiming to be devine (God), in which He is. Only God can forgive sins, Jesus forgave sins. Jesus said I will never leave you nor forsake you. He sent the Holy Ghost, God said He will send the Comforter. Jesus is fully God and man. Read Col 2:9. There is not 3 persons, because well first of all, the Holy Ghost is NOT a person. It is the Spirit of God. Jesus is the fullness of GOD! :) http://www.iht.com Look for the article there. That is one of many. I am sure you can do a search by putting Pope Benedict XVI Prays to Allah

I'm glad that you, too, do not believe in Trinity for it is not even written in the Bible, and also about the Holy Spirit. However, there is a little misunderstanding about John 1:1. It reads: "IN the beggining was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." (KJV other translations denotes the same) It is true that Jesus was referred as God, i think at least twice in the Holy Scriptures, but does it mean that Jesus is the True God that we have to worship? Note that John 1:1 also states "The Word was WITH God". this clarifies that, when God created the first man he said: "Let US make man according to OUR image, according to OUR likeness" (Genesis 1:26), He was talking to Jesus, that the two of them are distinctive (separate) persons. Now with regards to the Phrase "and the Word was God" it doesn't mean that Jesus Christ is God Himself. Please take note of these Bible Verses (King James Versions, compare them to you own bible): "That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the MOST HIGH (Highest in other versions) over all earth" Psalms 83:18 "[Gabriel said to Mary:] And behold, thou shalt comceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son and shalt call his name JESUS. He shall be great, and shall be called THE SON OF THE HIGHEST" Luke 1:32-33 In these verses, it is clear that Jehovah is the Most High, The Father that Jesus always referring to, and Jesus himself is the SON of the Most High. In the case of Colossians 2:9, which reads: For him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead (Greek: theotetos) bodily", try to compare them to different versions, i qouted some of them: "Everything of God gets expressed in him" -The Message "It is in him that all the fullness of the divine quality dwells bodily" -The Bible--An American Translation (The New Testament in Modern Speech has the same idea) Theotetos means divinity or divine nature acording to Greek-English Lexicon. So it is more accurately translated by The New World Translation, which you reads: "It is in him that all the fullness of the divine quality dwells bodily." Yes it is true that Jesus said that anyone who sees him, has saw God as well, in the way that, if Jehovah descend here on earth, He will do exactly what Jesus did, imagine they have millions of years being together in heaven, Jesus knows how Jehovah God will act in specific situations (Pharisees accused Jesus of blasphemy, not because he's claiming that he is The God, but He claims that He is the Son of God-- John 10:36) These verses will also help you to differentiate Jesus from Jehovah: 1 Corinthians 11:3 "I want you to understand that the head of every man is Christ, the head of a woman is her husband and the HEAD OF CHRIST IS GOD" (Clearly God is superior than Jesus) John 14:28 "If you loved me, you would have rejoiced, because i go to the Father; for the Father is GREATER than I." John 2:17 "Jesus said to her (Mary Magdalene), 'Do not hold me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to my brethren and say to them, I am ascending to MY Father and your Father, TO MY GOD AND YOUR GOD'" The good point here that Jesus' God is the same God of those of his Followers. John 5:19 "Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do NOTHING of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son LIKEWISE" in other words, jesus said that he is God's representative, not the Flesh manifestation of God John 12:49: "For I have not spoken of myself, but the Father which SENT me, he gave me a comnmandment, what I should say, and what I should speak." Compare John 5:30 John 17:3 "This is life eternal, that they might know thee the ONLY TRUE GOD, AND Jesus Christ, whom thou has sent" Please read this verse carefully! Thanks for the link... i'm gonna look for that article, Pope (who claim a Christian) praying to Allah (as Muslims' God) i think is apostasy, don't you agree?

Okay by reading all of this. Who do you worship, who will you worship? If Jesus is not God, we shouldn'r worship Him :) Well according to scripture EVERY knee will BOW and every tongue WILL confess that Christ is Lord! That is Worship :) Thomas said 'my Lord and my GOD' :) Thanks for your comments! Jesus is 100 GOD and 100 man!

hello -- i am wondering...do you agree that Jehovah is God's name? You are certainly correct in that the Pope does exalt himself falsely as Satan does... ...and I don't get to see the news all the time... what hideous accusations are you referring to?

Yes He is the God of Abraham, Issak and Jacob. He is the God of my fathers. He came in the flesh according to John 1:14. His name is Jesus Christ. The GOD of my fathers is NOT Allah. Allah is a false god derived from the decendance of Ishmeal. Ishmeal was cursed by God. I can find scriptures if need be. The Pope actually turned to Mecca and prayed and made reverence to Allah. He even admits it.

It's hard to take anyone seriously that wears a funny hat. The Pope isn't always right and isn't always wrong. He's not God, I don't follow or worship him even though my parents went behind my back and baptised me Catholic without my consent when I was a baby. It means nothing to me that he believes Allah is God, it means nothing to me that he prayed with Muslims. It's his life, God will judge him accordingly.

yeah I know the feeling. I was drizzled with water at the age of 10. Hey I wanted to be a nun too at one time. lol anywayzzz thanks for the response. I care because he is the 'voice' of Christianty according to most. Did you know the hat he wears has a prophetic message. It says 'The Vicor of the Son of God'. If you take the roman numerals and add them coinsiding with the letters of the hat, it actually equals 666. I heard this awhile back and it gives me chills. Remember the Bible even says the Name of the Beast along with the number. Food for thought ;) *A proud ex-Catholic* I found my way. Hope others can too.

Hi, up until the 11th century authority in the church rested in the joint council of the bishops of Rome, Antioch, Jerusalem, etc. then the bishop of Rome in a fit of hubris declared himself Pope and declared joint authority which he had accepted up to that point a heresy. It seems that much of what the Catholic Church adds is not proscribed in Testament. all the best urban
