Old Lego Childs Rattle

It is a Lego childs rattle that looks like a red bird. It has two handles (one on each side). Two white eyes with jiggle black dots in them. It has a yellow beak and a blue ball that spins in the middle of it. It was given to me by a co-worker that knows I collet Lego toys. Can anyone tell me more about this toy? Like how old is it? Was it part of a set? Etc...
