I don't know if you get credit for resolving a discussion..but the reciever of best answer does get credited...however some questions don't really have a best answer scenrio..

The owner of the discussion has the right to slect the best answer.If he selects the best answer then the one who wrote the response will be benefitted and you will get as discussion resolved.It is just an appreciation for the hardwork of your friend to write the response.So try giving best answer to all the topics started by you

Okay, will try to remember to choose a best answer to every discussion I start. Don't want to cheat anyone out of points.
