I totally cried during the final scene! My husband and I just watched the film, again, last night and I cried, again. I think it is one of Mel Gibson's best performances and told my husband that very thing. Mel is so believable in that film!! Not to mention he is a total hotty!!! Seriously though, I think his performance, as well as the other actors, really helped the audience feel for those people and what they went through. They portrayed what fighting for Freedom is really all about. During that time period the Scottish people only wanted the same things that most of us want today; freedom, the ability to get married and have a family, to have a home of their own, to have a country to call their own. In my opinion that is not a lot to ask for. I also think they did a spectacular job portraying what things would have really looked like then. It really helped to get you into the film and I think that plays on the emotional part of the view as well. This film is totally worth a good cry! This film is a number one in my book! C. Gray

Yes i agree with you when William shout Freedom I was carried away in to far away place when I can almost hear and feel the beating of their heart...I can feel their dread, fear and at the same time the strong will to survive and defeat the enemies. My eyes must have watered but i really tired not to cry because I may not be able to stop. It's a very deeply moving movies...the kind of action film that touch a historic spot and teach us what it feels like in the early days. You can find in your heart the pride and bravery that you alone can understand. Very nice movie.

I liked Braveheart a lot - it's my favorite movie by Mel Gibson and with Mel Gibson :). Didn't cried at it, but was very impressed with the final scene. If I were younger when I've watched it I'd probably give a good cry to it. Anyway the movie was excellent. I hope that Apocalypto will even half as good as Braveheart was.
