Hi Friends, My name is Porus. I had a dog named Jimmy. He was a German Shepherd. My brother whoz the biggest pet lover i've ever seen, was promised a puppy by my mom if he scored distinction in board examinations. He scored 72 so we bought a German Shepherd Pup. He was merely 1 month old when we bought him. Not even after 2 weeks we bough him, his health was not well, He was suffering from dehydration. Doctor had left the hopes of his surviving. But luckly due to our prayers and gods grace he survived. He was the center of love of our family. He was so so active and playful that sometimes he used to distract our attention from studies and start playing with us. The most active member of ourhouse was the dearest to Father as he was his master. My Dad trained him with some amazing skills, like he would not touch anything on my fathers command. He had a great skill of searching for things. He was more like a human brother than a pet to me. In absense of my brother while he was in hostel, i used to talk to Jimmy very frequently. I still remember his curious face when i used to tell him something and he used to wonder what it means? But to his destiny his playful and joyful life fell in danger when he met with a severe accident. He was also to be operated. But the doctor denies as he was very active and that his hyper nature could cause problems to himself. When he was 4, we got him crossed with a female German Shepherd name Rani. He became a father of 5 (4 Females and 1 male). But to our bad fortune we had sell those pups to the breeder as per our discussion with him. When not even he had completely recoverd from the injury, he got a cut in his intestine and that was the testing time for him and us both. The intestine had to be operated. I still remember the pain in his eyes. It still brings tears to me. Looking at him I used to give him a big hug and cry. But with time all seemed to get well. When he was 9, one day he started vomiting everything he used to take in. He was feeling uncomfortable. This brought worry to all of us. We got him X-Rayed. To our bad destiny doctor said he had hernia and his intestine has completely damaged. There were no hopes of improvement and he also said that he would not live much long. This shattered our dreams as we never expected the day of his passing way. I still cannot forget the last time i saw him was my parents taking him down in the car along with the doctor to give him freedom from pain and agony - his silent death (By injecting Synite). I couldnt stop myself crying for him. I still love him as he's alive in my heart.

Well, I have a german shepherd too, and as You said previously they are more like friends than animals, and once you live with them they become part of the family, I can even imagine living without my dog, we've been sharing many things and I hope It'll last for a long time
