do anyone know why we say merry X-MAS and not happy X-MAS.? i will post the answer later but first i want to know how many of u know

Is it because the X in X-mas stands for Xristos, the greek word for Christ? If not, then I haven't a clue. Although merry sounds alot better then Happy.

I have to say no I don't know but I say it because normally it is Merry Christmas and a Happy new Year as it does not sound right to say Happy Christmas and a Happy New Year

the Juse use to say that becuse they don't bleve that crist come so they woud wish everyone a mery X mast in sted of mery christmas
