Does anyone have any remedies or reliefs other than the over the counter stuff? All those pills are making me super drowsy even though they are called non-drowsy. Help i feel horrible.

I heard all about your cold, you ruined Christmas. What ever you do don't take any of those pills sndcain tries to push on you. She wants you drowsy so she can talk on the phone.

This isn't a cure, but it is always good to load up on Vitamin C when you have a cold! It really does help you to feel better. I know many people that swear by it.

Thanks for the advice. I knew it was supposed to prevent me from getting a cold, I didn't know it would make me feel better. I'll give it a shot.

By now your cold is gone, but food remedies we use are fresh pineapple for sore throats, horseradish, either eaten or just breathe the fumes. Anything with lots of hot peppers. Chicken soup--I am partial to egg drop soup from the Chinese restaurant. My hubby swears by hot and sour soup. There is the old Vermont remedy, one spoonful honey, one spooneful good quality apple cider vinegar in a hot cup of water. Save these remedies for the next time. We all get colds now and then.

I'll have to remember those. I did eat some prime rib with alot of horse radish. I was so clogged up, even the horse radish didn't penetrate my sinuses. I will try something with a longer effect like hot peppers, though.
