Is it the gift of giving or the gift of giving wanting something in return? / myLot

I repeatly ask my family not to get me anything for christmas or my birthday but they won't listen. Not that i'm appreciative or anything like that but i tell to give to the need or the children because it matters to them more. I get joy to see others happy than myself. And i know my relatively are looking for something in return. any else can related?

I do the same thing. I rather they not give me anything for Christmas, as usual they provide me anything I need all year long... So I do not usually have much on my Christmas list. I choose one expensive gift then cheapy stuff my Expensive gift this year was 25 dollars. Then some yarn and feathers. - DNatureofDTrain
