When deciding to answer a discussion do you?

tend to not answer if they already have a lot of answers? If the discussion is super good it does not matter how many replies they have, but if it is just a so-so discussion I tend to move on and give my reply to those more interesting that need responses more. How about you?

Well I know for myself I go to discussions that interest me. I like to read over the responses before I post but if there are pages of them I will skim the first few pages to get an idea of what has been said before me. I like to be able to add to the discussion not just say what several have already stated.

I do the same thing and usually after reading a few of the other answers, I can add to the discussion in my own words and have plenty to say.

for me i just go to the discussions page and reply the first discussion which i can comfortably reply. then i proceed with the looking at profile of people who have responded that discussion. and look for the discussions they have posted. now from here if again i can find something interesting then i do reply. that is my way of doing it. i never care how many reply are there to a particular topic.

I think we all have our own little system we go through. I have kind of gotten into a groove now, where I kind of follow a certain pattern.

if there is too many answers then the chance of even 5% of them being read is basicaly nill so it is a waste of time also most of the ones with lots of replies are normal friends chatting to each other thinking that they are making lots of cash

quite often ill open a discussion & rewad it, but not respond-if i don't have anything "worthy" to say, i don't waste my, or the topic starters time. I always try to respond to good, worthy discussions:)

that's exactly what I do, but then, I'm a sucker for underdogs. I almost always check out the discussions with no responses just to see if there are any great topics that got lost in the avalanche of 'what's your name' posts.

Hi, I usually always read all of the replies before posting, so I am more likely to reply if it has less than 20 replies. If it's really interesting, i will probably read the big discussions, but won't post because I know others will have already said whatever I was going to say. The reply I read here about searching for the 0-reply discussions caught my eye; I think I will start doing that too. But I'll only answer if the topic seems original enough. If it's something that has most likely been posted already, I will do a search for that topic and join a discussion that has been here longer (which I did recently with a "new year's resolutions for 2007" topic). I always would like to give response to a discussion according to my thoughts and knowledge, instead of copying others. I usually pick up the discussion which I am capable of contributing some thoughts.

I don't even notice the number of answers when I reply. That makes no difference to me at all.

I usually answer a discussion no matter how many responses there are. If I think I can give a decent answer then I'll answer, if not I'll move on to the next discussion that catches my attention.

I post to every kind of discussion that the topic make me interest to reply. But sometimes if my brain stuck, I just choose a simple topics that not need many explanation to answer it.
