Why do Most of the retail shop don't publish their products price online ?

Anyone know why or got any idea ? is it because they scare competitors lower their price ??? isn't it better for us customers to know the sales price ,stock and sizes avaliable for us ??? ....
So i think something like wal-mart is really well established yea ...
