Going Out With A Friends Ex Boyfriend?

Okay so i have this friend who had got dumped by her boyfriend and the day after they broke up my other friend started going out with him. i talked to her and she said she didnt really like him that much. i dont see how she finds it right to date a friends ex. i would never do that to one of my friends. all my other friends agree except for her. we decided it was because we grew up in a big city and had a bigger selection of guys. but even this girls mother has said they broke up its over between them so its alright for my daughter to date him. that may be true but i still dont think it's right to date a friends ex. especially if that friend still has feelings for him. what do you think would you date a friends ex?
