Is this a preview of society?

The things people state and comment about, if they are true in nature.... Our society has become quite pathetic and sad. Should we believe what is being posted and be left with the thought that these people are our present and future or should we have hope that they are just trying to create a controvertial conversation for the sake of compensation?

You don't have to try to convince me that society is already pathetic and sad...and ignorance is everywhere. I tend to seek out conversations that are relevant to me or provoke real discussion and debate, but I'll admit that I sometimes post or answer posts that are merely fun or that I find entertaining. Even so, I try to be sincere and thoughtful (meaning I think about what I want to say-I don't use one or two word answers)in my responses. In general, I think that many people go for the "easy" topics because they don't require much thought. I like to visit other unpaid site as well as here to read new and interesting ideas, but lately I've been tired of all the stupidity, ignorance, nonsense and propaganda I find at other sites. MyLot may have questionable posts, but far less than other places on the web. As far is this site is concerned, it's generally "good, clean fun" for me. I'm not in it for the money, but I do like the rating system-that's kind of "neat". I would love to see "awards" for most original or thoughtful topics and posts, etc. I would be even wordier than I am right now!

What you think may be true...! But this is a good forum for discussions. The forum should continue.
