What I don't get about Christmas movies centering on Santa!

Okay, I love Christmas as much as the next person. I love movies about Santa Claus too, especially the Tim Allen ones (though I haven't seen the new one). But something keeps bugging me that I have to share and get your opinions on... I don't get how movies can have Santa flying around, house to hosue, dropping gifts off yet still have the parents of these characters or generally parents in the movie, not believing in Santa Claus! If Santa exists in the movie like he does, how to these unbelieving parents think those presents got there?? Is it some kind of "Santa Magic?" I don't think I've seen one movie that ever explains this phenomenon/paradox. Can you help me with this? Or am I alone with this one? ;)

I've wondered the same thing. I think it's because the parents just assume the other one bought the gift.

Hahaha, that's good. That would assume that those parents don't talk to one another while most parents, when it comes to spending money, do talk to each other. But again, that's me. You could be right, knowing what I know of movie logic it assumes the worst in people.

Oh my, I never really thought of that. You bring up a good point. I guess the directors think people will overlook this fact. Very good observation :)
