With 2007 just around the corner, did you manage to accomplish everything you set out to do in 2006? Did you have a set of resolutions for 2006? Can you accomplish them in the few days that are left? What are you looking forward to in 2007?

Oh, not even close, I'm sad to say. But I've got plans for 2007! I have set some goals. My major thing is finding a new career or a business, preferably a business. And everything else will hinge upon that. Aloha and Happy New Year!

I made a major career change after I turned 40 and I love it! I am a romance writer now, hopefully will have some good news in early 2007 from a publisher in the USA. I hope you find your new niche and do well. Ciao to you.

Resolutions - Resolutions 2007
I never actually made any resolutions because I don't believe in them Bunny, but I did hope to achieve a few things during 2006. They included. Travel to Western Australia for a special event and we did that. Travel to Queensland to see friends but didn't achieve that due to health considerations at the time. Reduce amount smoked, and I did that too. Lose weight - did that but not as much as I would have liked but it was a start. Enjoy Christmas with our son and we certainly did that. Enjoy better health through exercise and diet and I did that too. A few didn't go as well as I had hoped, but on the whole I am very happy with my achievements for the year. For 2007 I hope to: Go to Queensland to catch up with friends etc. Lose a little more weight Give up smoking, or so close that it hardly matters Enjoy the time with our son while he is here in Australia, before he goes wandering again. Think that about covers everything at this time.

Sounds like you've done very well indeed. You deserve a pat on the back! {pat, pat} And your new year's resolutions sound very doable given your history this year. Good luck with them. I hope you have a fabulous 2007!

Thanks Bunny and I certainly hope that I manage to achieve what I want, however I generally decide to attempt to achieve what is fairly achieveable. LOL It was certainly wonderful to have our son home for Christmas as he wasn't here last year and I doubt very much if he will be here next year. These days when he spends his birthday and Christmas with us are so wonderful, as they don't happen too often. :) Hey gifana, please let my head swell, even just a little because it need it from time to time. PLEASE PLEASE gifana. LOL

I think I accomplished everything in 2006.....I didn't kick the bucket. I only make one resolution per year and that is I won't make any resolutions for the New Year. I do this only because I know that anything that I say that I will resolve to do won't get done. That way I don't tax my brain thinking about resolutions.

I like the way you think. I don't always make resolutions, though several of the writing loops I'm on ask for them - so I always have one or two writing related ones - You know, het that book published! Maybe one day.

I like that thinking actually gifana, and like you I think that actually being alive every day is better than the alternative. Or at least nobody has told me any different, so I will stick with what I know. :)

sadly i wasn't able to accomplish everything i had set out to do in 2006, I usually set goals every year- mostly to improve myself and my life as a whole, so i'm setting goals again for the year 2007 including those i have not accomplished the previous year. i'm looking forward to accomplishing all goals i have set for myself. which include taking up master's degree.

I ackompished everything that I wanted to and had goals to do in 2006 I was really proud of my self. I have more goals set for 2007 like certain things I would like to do to the house that I have been putting off, keep in touch with people that I have lost touch with, and new things that I would like to become involved in.

As I write this 2006 is already gone and it's the first day of 2007, happy new year :) 2006 was a disappointing year for me, it started badly business wise and things didn't get better until now, I had some minor wishes fulfilled though.. I hope 2007 will be much better with more accomplishments :)
