Though preschoolers are too young to grasp many of the abstract concepts that go hand-in-hand with spiritual life, they have other skills that will serve them well on the road to spirituality: They have no problem believing in things they can't see, and they live almost entirely in the moment. "Kids this age have an incredible sense of wonder. So I was wonder how would you nurture your child's spirituality?

My husband and I try to encourage awareness and a sense of wonder about the beauty of life, and the concept that people are more important than things. We want him to appreciate everything around him. We want him to believe in a world without boundaries or limits. I don't know if I'm exactly answering your question, but it is meaningful to me that he remain an individual and make his own choices in life, but always remember to be kind and considerate. That might be more mindful than spiritual, but it's what's important to us, to help him have the best possible start in life.
