News just breaking Gerald Ford the 38th President of the United States has passed away at the age of 93. President Ford is best remembered for taking office after Richard Nixon resigned amongest the Water Gate Scandal. His first official act as President was to give a full pardon to the Richard Nixon a move critized at the time but, later praised as a wise move to allow the nation to heal and move forward. Gerald Ford is the only person to ever hold both the offices of Vice President and President without being elected. His was a Presidency that was thought well of by people of both major political parties.

he was an interesting political figure as he never faced an election to become president and vice president.
