What is your view on Vernon Wells joining the Blue Jays for US $126 millions?

Should players in Major League sports be paid so much money for signing a contract with a team? I have personally met Ted Rogers, the owner of Blue Jays and Rogers Communication Inc and he is a great man, but do you think all that money could be used for betterment of the city? Should there be limit to how much a player should be paid? What do you think about such contracts?

Absolutely no one player is worth that kind of money;
Soriano, Carlos Lee, Barry Zito, Aramis Ramirez, Wells.
If you go to the games, you are helping pay for this madness when you buy tickets, food, drinks, souvenirs and other extras.
