Asia communications hit by quake !!!

Telecommunications across Asia have been severely disrupted because of damage to undersea cables caused by Tuesday's earthquake near Taiwan.
what are the solutions that can be done to avoid these natural calamities

i come from INDONESIA, ALL ISP in INDONESIA have shut down, untill now still meeting and try find solution about this problem coz they will HUGE LOST about this.
i using my phone to get in on mylot very dificult and slow...but its ok.
optik cable internet connection on taiwan sea have ben broken, chief communacation from taiwan said, need time to fixed maybe 3-4 weeks.
this cable connected by another country in asia to USA.all damage.
they try hard to find solution and change they direction to use optik cable on JAPAN.but dont know.

You can't avoid natural disasters.You can only minimize the impact.Correct me if I'm wrong.Waaaa.My connection....

natural calmities cannot be avoided but the damage can be avoided by cushioning the cables with a damper, damper is a substance used to reduce effect force of vibration on a body,
