Dual core vs single core processor

what do u mean by dual core processor & its advantages over single core .give some idea abt dual core ....

hurm.. from my experience thats not a lot diff between the single core and the dual core.. i've compare my laptop which runs on centrino 1.73ghz and my friends 1.7 centrino duo.. the loading time for adobe photoshop cs2 was almost the same.. and actually mine was loading a lil faster than his.. i dont know bout pc but for centrino duo its not a lot diff with the old centrino... p/s : i wish that laptop [xcept apple] will use the pentium d motherboard rather than centrino.. centrino was a junk processor...

Dual Core Processor has upto 40 to 50% more speed then single core...

Well single core have no such power advantage as dual core
