How enable WEP encryption on D-Link DWL-122 ???

[Sorry this is no HOWTO!!! - I noticed to late that my title might be misleading. Unfortunately the change of the new title didn't propagete yet to the index ..] after spending several hours and reading several WLAN threads I give up and hope that someone can point me to the point I'm missing ... Current status: I get the D-Link DWL-122 working when I disable the WEP encryption in my router. But as soon as I enable it it stop working. When I do

well when encryption is turned on you need to enter the key on your computer or laptop so that you can connect otherwise it is thinking that you are any old user trying to connect hope it helps reply if you want
