Motorcycle clubs: what do you think about them?

Does anyone belong to one or know a member of a motorcycle club? They seem to range from just people who like to ride together to what the police name as criminal gangs. I'm afraid of them when I see them.

I prefer to stay out of clubs because there's just too much drama that goes on with them. The best thing to do is get up with some great people that like to ride and just hang out and chill. You're more likely to enjoy the ride just hanging out than you will riding with a club.

im a part of a motorcycle club and it the biggest one in india and it has around 28000 members registered online.we have our groups in almost every cicites of the country and we have regular meets like twice in a moth where we ride together and also perform some stunts.its cool riding in a formation and we dont do anyhting that may cause any safety problems to anyone.and yes the cops can sometimes be a problem as they dont like stunting on the street and riding together and all.

I belong to an online club, volusiariders.com, with about 4500 members and always growing it is like a big family. Thesepeople are here for you when no one else is. They get together for rides and rallies in different parts of the country quite often. You can own any kind of bike to join. As far as clubs where you have to wear colors....stay away.

I belong to a riding club. They're a lot of fun. Don't confuse "motorcycle clubs" with "riding clubs". The MCs are more hardcore, and membership is more like a family. RCs are simply about riding, and making new friends. RCs don't extend into your private life like many MCs can. The AMA Chaptered MCs are pretty legit, law abiding clubs. While the "3-piece patch" clubs, whose back patches consists of three separate pieces, tend to be more hardcore. Even still, about 90% of all MC members are just regular guys, with kids, jobs, and homes. Here are some RCs if you want to check them out: Iron Horses Riding Club http://www.ihrc.tv Southern Cruisers Riding Club http://www.southerncruisers.net

I belonged to a well known club, and am a professional female! Don't be afraid of them when they pass by you, bikers are more likely to help a stranded motorist than anyone driving a BMW or Mercedes! We used to laugh when we rode up to people and they rolled up their windows and lock their doors...I would always say..oh no, scary yuppies!! And pull away from them! Tattoos, bikers are much more recognizable than your Ted Bundies of the world...just remember this if someone robs or hurts you and they are tattooed, they are much more likely to be caught than your regular Joe Blow style guy..look at all the serial killers, they look normal, not all pierced, tattooed, wearing leather and sitting on a hog!

I belong to a couple of clubs. Motorcyclists are just regular people enjoying the open road. Riders are courteous people. Both clubs I'm in do lots of things each year to help charities. I find that most motorcyclists have charities they help, not just with money, but with their time. I guess riding is just so relaxing they don't get so wound up so as not to help others.
