does anyone make any money off of those WORK from home ads?

i've seen hundreds of ads on many sites, and they get you there, only to find out they want anywhere from $99 all the way to $2500. Do these work?

I talk to a lot of people who do work-from-home over the internet. The most I've ever seen one make is about $500/month. Most others are like me and are happy to make $50 of extra spending money.
