What's The difference beetween "nerd" and "geek" and who do you prefer?

I think "nerd" is used about smart and clever people but geek is used about people that have for example big glasses and read a lot...

Nerds are generally people interested in computers and electronics - the folks who make their own computers from scratch, can hotwire anything, etc. Computer technicians and the like. Geeks are generally more fandom oriented, people who are really into science fiction or anime or things like that.
