Politicions often fight to claim the credit of a particular good thing done for the people. But I could not more often see a claim for a particular bad thing going on! I want to held honourable Prime minister of India responsible for all corruption going on in my country. You may ask why Prime minister alone?. Prime minister of India is heading council of central ministers which is taking and implementing important policies and rules. He is there to serve for the people,So if he is not able to make India free from corruption,It may be taken as a major failure in administration. After independence we gone through many parties occupying the highest office in the country, but none could make corruption free India;instead they fought for individual influence and power.

This is true of all governments. The languages vary, and the rhetoric, but in the end, every leader is there because they wish to exercise THEIR will. The promises they make are geared toward simply getting them in office. Once there, they pursue those goals that will make a name for THEM in history. Not what will serve the people best.

If there is a system to review the activities of politicians, I think things will get improved!
