Was christ realy crusified?

This issue is as much an enigma as Jesus himself. we have been accepted to believe that he existed and he was mercilessly crucified... sorry mate, I'm myself confused! Thanks

The marks on the shroud are consistent with someone that had been beaten, scourged and had a crown of thorns impaled on their head. I think yes. There is plenty of proof that he existed and went through all that but I don't believe for one moment that he was resurrected or that he is the son of god. I was raised Catholic but I'm Atheist now.
