What the use of giving mark best response in our topic ?

1. For a person who starts dicussion topic, by giving best response, it is closing the discussion topic for all technical matters. But it still continues to get the responses. 2. By giving best response to a responder, he gets more points. There is no benefit to you, except you are closing a discussion topic.

It tells a person that their comment was very appreciated and that it was liked over other responses and it gives people a good feeling about themselves and that their voices and opinions are being heard and are important. I think it does have some importance in the earnings but not sure how much.
