I realize there is surgery, radiation and chemo treatments, but are there any actual cures known. My mother had ovarian cancer, they surgically removed most of it and she was cancer free for almost 2 years and now the cancer has crept back in 3 spots. Chemo is deteriating her... is there any alternatives known to help?

There are plenty of alternatives. One of them is Virgin Coconut Oil taken every day. Another is Essiac Tea. Still another is Amygdalin/Laetrile or B17 Vitamin from Apricot Kernels. Still another is Yoga/Ayurveda. You can also look at Carctol Disclaimer : I have vested interest in carctol so I leave it to you. I am not pushing it, just recommending it.

You should really do some research on alternative treatments. I had Hodgkin's Lymphoma last year and I did chemo and radiation and have been cancer free for a little over a yaer. I read up on a lot of alternatives and complimentary methods. Read up on Essiac Tea and other herbs. Also check out www.bodytalksystem.com. Do a search on Billy Best or Sue Best. Billy had Hodgkin's and was cured with a natural treatment. They have a website. Maybe it would work for your mother's cancer. I hope some of this is helpful and I will certainly pray for your mother. God Bless!

Thank you for your input. I have been researching whole foods and herbal foods that help cleanse & nourish the body to help it to naturally regenerate. I appreciate your info too.

The internet is a grest tool to investigate...there are many alternative treatments out there, and even new, experimental treatments looking for new candidates -these usually pay for all the care during these new, upcoming possibilites for finding a cure. Get a second, third, fourth, etc, opinion...Contact the American Cancer Society -even online..A new medication, Newlasta, has been shown to boost the bodies WBC count to help ward off the decline of these infection-fighting cells that chemo tends to decrease. Strengthing her support system and quality of life can also have positive physical effects, along with these other nutritional suggestions..Good Luck to your mother, you and your family, and God be with you all! Don't give up the fight!

You could ceck out www.ovarian.org which is the website for the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition. They're dedicated to ovarian cancer only. I didn't notice alternatives mentioned on their site, but they up-to-date information on new breakthroughs, clinical trials and many other things. It's definitely worth a check. If I find anything else, I'll let you know.
