Where did my responses go?

I just wonder where are my responses in some discussion go. Everytime I look for my responses in particular discussion I had joined, I never saw it. Almost 3 dicussions I joined didn't appear. But when I checked the discussion I joined, the discussion appear in my profile but my responses are gone or was it deleted by the discussion starter? Was there anyone who could give an explantion with what is happening here. I am not after for the points earned, it is just disappinting that you try to give your best response in certain discussion yet it didn't appear. What is this fiasco all about?
