why the fruits of development are not reaching the poor in usa?

Mr. Joseph Stiglitz, Nobel Laurate 2001 in an interview felt that Trickledown Economics failed to work in USA. US has a good GDP growth rate. Then why the fruits of its development are not reaching the American poor?

hi,its the case ,not only in america,but every where...the development confined to limited section of people. and government really not concentrating on the needy people.

Trickle down economics says that when Govt. spends more on its activities particularly development, the benefits should percolate down to the grass root levels. It fails because distributive justice is not the goal or aim of the politicians who rule any country.
