My new windows.

My dad got my husband and I new windows for Christmas (well my maturnal grandma paid for one). He's the plant manager at a window factory and got a really good deal on them and must have got a big bonus. He said he has always wanted to do something really big like that and had the oppurtunity so he did it. I had to stop myself from crying! My husband and I are trying to get our home remodelled because we want to adopt and want the house to be in better shape for all the visits and inspections they do. So this was a huge help to us. Well my dad, one of his friends, and my cousin came up yesterday and we put the windows in. It was a lot of fun ripping out the old storm windows! We had a sweet system going. My husband, my cousin, and I would take out the storm windows and frames, my dad would take out the old window and put the new ones in, my dad's friend would put the small piece of casing on them. We did 11 windows in about 4 and a half hours! Then I fed them all my meatloaf as a thank you. My windows look so good now! I'm so excited about them. My dad had eragon gas put in them too to make them more energy efficent. Now I just need new trim inside the house around the windows...cause the old trim is probably the orignal trim put up when it was built in the 50's and is really tore up. But one thing at a time. I love my new windows...and my daddy too.
