I haven't, but I've always wanted to go. If anyone doesn't know what Livestock is: It's an outdoor 2-day concert, where fans mosh to heavy metal music. The people include shirtless men that are peacefully passed out in the dust in the middle of the day. Others buy T-shirts, beer and corn dogs, and the whole scene looks like any other rock festival. Anyway, I've heard some crazy stories from people who have been. Anyone got any livestock stories? Woodstock stories would be quite interesting too.

Woodstock 99 would have been fun and I did want to go but it is no comparison to the original Woodstock IMO...99 was just another Edgefest really but the original was a history making event that will never be matched and missing that SUCKS

Unfortunately I have never been to either Livestock or woodstock. And it is even more unfortunate that we dont have livestock and woodstock in the country that I am a resident of. I have heard stories about it from friends though and would love to attend one if and when I get a chance to. Thanks for putting up this discussion since I am gonna find out more stories about an activity that I have no exposure to at all.

Hi iAlicia I went to Woodstock 99 and it was crazy. They said that there would be tight security there but after the 1st day the security crew quit so you could walk in for free the next 2 days. We drank the first day in the heat at about 11 in the morning so I was dehydrated and got heat exhaustion. Water and food were ridiculous it was lik 14 bucks for a pizza 8 bucks for a bottle of water. By the end the crew was giving it out for free because they were fed up. The music was awesome Limp Bizkit, Rage, and Metallica in a row. Korn was great along with Sevendust, Godsmack, Chili peppers, and it was totally worth it. I would go to Livestock if you like the bands.

I'm afraid that I missed out on Woodstock, was a bit too young and now probably a bit too old to hang out for such a big concert. I would also love to hear more on your topic!

Here is an interesting story about Wood stock A woman in the throes of labor rode up to the motel on the back of a motorcycle. She lifted her skirt and screamed that she was having a baby. Thus, one of the enduring legends ....as well as the biggest mystery of the Woodstock Music and Art Fair was born. Elliot Tiber, owner of the El Monaco Motel, found himself assuming the role of doctor. "She fell at my feet shrieking," he recalled. "I got down on the ground and starting pulling on the baby. I guess somehow I knew what had to be done. I don't remember if it was a boy or a girl because I became hysterical and she was screaming as well. Finally, about a hour later, a helicopter with medics landed. They cut the cord and whisked her away."Mr. Tiber said the man driving the motorcycle seemed to be the father, but he couldn't be sure. His best recollections were of the mother. "She had olive skin and big, black eyes. I can still remember those eyes. Her English was kind of broken and she had a French accent. When it was over, I was trembling too much to remember a lot of details." Mr. Tiber said the mother returned a few days later and wrote her name and the baby's on a matchbook. A matchbook that Mr. Tiber lost in the Woodstock aftermath. "Who knew that it would prove to be important," he said.

I went to Woodstock 99... it was awesome! It was unlike anything I had ever experienced (I was only 18). It suprised me how nice everyone was to each other... it was like every prejudice or whathaveyou disappeared as soon as you walked in! My fav was at night all the trash cans were turned over and put together.. and everyone was just drumming on them and dancing.. it was great! Then, on the first morning, some people had taken a bunch of empty pizza boxes and made a huge peace sign... I have a pic of it somewhere.. I will try to find it! Have some great stories... maybe I'll share one day =). I had a blast... didnt sleep the whole weekend..washed my hair in outdoor sinks...met a bunch of great people!! Yea it ended badly, with a bunch of people burning things.. but it still was great! =)

In August,1969 I was a young sailor home in New Jersey on leave. I went along with a group of friends to a "rock concert" in Bethel NY. I had no idea what to expect. It was the most fansastic experience of my young life. But there was a problem. There was so much pot that the air was thick with the smoke. As I was a nuclear submarine sailor, I had to have regular 'random' tests for cannabis use because Congress had decreed that pot heads should not be handeling nuclear power plants and nuclear weapons. I spent a lot of tome very close to the ground.
