I am not a big fan of horror movies anymore but I used to like watching them. My favorites included the Nightmare on Elm Street and the Friday the 13th sequels. Oh and I can't forget the Halloween ones. I never really did like the Excorcist but it was ok.

One of my favorites is a lesser known horror film by the name of Pumpkinhead. It was made in the 80s, but I think the storyline was original. While the villain is a supernatural/monster being, the ultimate theme is revenge and the darkness of the human spirit. However, it's also about redemption. A really creative and original story.

I would have to say mine is The Exorcist the uncut version. Todays movies somehow don't compete with the older ones like The exorcist and Nightmare on Elm street.

Ghost Story 1981 With Fred Astaire, Douglas Fairbanks, Jr, John Houseman. The movie was done with a combination of mental suspense, and sudden bursts rather than a great deal of special effects. The story was told both in flashbacks and in present time. IT was not only a ghost story it was a good well done mystery in the truest sense of the word. It was a scare that used your own mind to create and build suspense. With nice little twists and turns. IT maybe 26 years old, but worth watching.

Oh, and 'The Haunting' was also good! The original one, not the horribe re-make where Nell was Hugh Crane's granddaughter! *gags* Awful!

GhostBuster. Do you know it?. It's very splendid film where there are people that must capture and destroy ghost. I'm really happy when I see it when i was a child and it's the only ghost movie that i know! It's incredible? Oh yes I think.
