I use to have the acyrilic nails and would have to have them filled in every 2weeks I had them on for about a year till I ripped them off myself. I was tired of spending the money for the upkeep of them. so my question to you is do you have your own nails? When I took them off my nails were so brittle it took monthes for them to grow strong again.

I happen to have been born with very strong nails. I got this from both my mother and my grandmother. Once when I had an event coming up and had broken a nail I had one filled in with an artificial nail and I hated it. I guess you get used to it if you wear them a lot but it was very uncomfortable for me when that happened. I hate to have my nails of uneven lengths so when one breaks now I cut the rest of them to match, even if that means cutting them down to the quick. Actually, although I think my hands look better with some fingernail growth, I love the way it feels to chop them down to nothing sometimes. I'm a fast typist regardless, but without nails I can fly on the keyboard!

You do get use to them. When i first had them put on it took me awhile to adjust to them. And I was working at the time. So even if I wanted them I couldnt afford it anyway!

I have my own Nails and always have had, I just do not like them My Daughter had them done in November and she caught one of them on her Draw and it ripped that Nail and her own Nail, she actually lost her own Nail through it, she said she won't ever have them done again

my own nails grow just fine..but my hands are small so I get my nails done so they look more grown..I don't like the way they tear my nails up, so lately, I've just been dealing with my own..

Yes I do, I have good strong nails and they grow well too. I like to keep them well-shaped and clean. When I was in school I used to bite my nails and the moment I got into college I somehow got rid of the habit:) I love my nails.

Yep, I have my own nails. I'm actually blessed with pretty strong nails and they grow pretty quickly. I'm just terrible about painting them. I can't stand it when they chip, so I tend to just put a shiny top coat on them and let them go....

I have always had my own nails. I have tried many different lengths. The one that works best for me is just past the tip of the nail. If your nails are brittle, you can put a little lip balm on them and the cuticle, and it will help.

I bit my nails for years and years. So,every time I tried to grow them they were weak and constantly snapped. So went the vicious cycle.I'd grow them, they'd snap, and I would bite them again.I finally managed to stop biting them long enough for them to get strong. Now after all those years of biting my nails I finally have my own ,strong nails.

I've been blessed with pretty strong nails. I used to paint them all the time, but have gotten lazy the last few years. Now it seems like I only paint them for special occasions. I still make sure they are cut nicely and clean, I just don't always paint them.

Ohh yes Terry, I have my own nails. I love my nails and I think they are nice and strong. So I need nto to go for fake nails. Keeping fake nails are costly and need so much attention. I think it is best if you can keep your natural nails.

I have my own nails which grow pretty strong. All I really do is use an emery board on them sometime. I am not a big fan of acrylic nails. I had a relative once who got a nail fungus from them and her nails were very brittle and soft for a long time. Also I can't really afford to keep up with acrylic nails.
