You make an effort to come up with important topics...which are mainstream issues or just random issues...it is like no one responds to any of them...you make up some stupid question like for example one of mine like is ryan seacrest gay...and you get a multi wave of responses....(mine did't)..lol....but still!!!!...where and how can you get a good group of intellectuals together on mylot...im calling all the intellectuals!!

greenland it is! I posted something about this the other day -- I came to the conclusion that I didn't care anymore about generating a large number of responses. I just wanted a few intelligent replies.

I whole heartly agree with you. I posted some what I thought was thought provoking discussions and maybe got 2 responses. But, I posting something a little controversial and the responses poured in. I see some of the dumbest discussions get hundreds of responses.

I think it's the easy discussions that get the most responses. it's a lot easier to come up with your favorite color than discuss Sartre.

even the controversial ones compared with the dumb ones do not even garnish half as much responses...

I don't get it either. People are too darn lazy to even think. If it is something they actually have to think about they pass it right over. I do know that your Topic line is the grabber..Like yours just now, I saw the exclamation points and hit enter. I have searched for some time before finding a suitable discussion at times.I guess those are the people who think they can actually pay their bills from this site and post as rapidly and unintellectually as possible. I actually enjoy this site for the good discussions I have come across, and the descent, intellectuals I have met so far. Nice to meet you..

Lol...well nice to meet you...I have done all the topics...at first i did the in depth ones..but those didnt seem to generate any talk so i tried the lame ones and i got a few...then i got the mylot questions about why this and that on mylot and those seem to get the best reviews

I had to get up at 5 in the morning because I was thinking about this topic in my sleep...lol. I have also tried different topics that vary from serious to light, but I'm not getting much. I refuse to stoop to asking people if they like peanut butter or something as silly as that. I just saw a discussion asking people if they considered themselves to be an intellectual. And of course people were giving one word answers. Heaven forbid the day I can't think of more than 5 words to explain why I think I have a brain:) Hang in there, though. If we have more people trying then we'll all have a better time!
