3 weeks ago, I asked myLot a question about an older adult going back for secondary education. Since then, I retired from a 26 year career in emergency services (last day is 1/9) to devote my time studying for my law degree. Support from friends and associates is awesome and its the best move I've ever made!

Dear Fallingleaves, it has been two months since you posted this discussion. I just wonder how you are doing with your schooling. I must say I admire you for it seems that you have taken a big step for your life and decided to pursue things you're devoted to. It takes courage and strong will to do so. I pray that you'll be ready with whatever things you'll be facing ahead. Life turns to other course from time to time and it is by enjoying what we have rather than demanding what we cannot/have not had that we will be the most joyful persons in the world. May you and I be like them, too...=)

Hi Avichail, thank you for asking and for your kind and encouraging words! Class's are going great and I certainly dont miss my old job one bit! I cant say I regret not doing this sooner because all that I've learned up to now has been my biggest asset. Thanks again and peace be with you.

Glad to hear that, FallingLeaves... You are right, don't let regret sets in. Makes it a booster. Please keep going and may God be with you through thick and thin!

Hi there, congratulations on going back to school. Even though it has been 8 months since you started this discussion, I am sure you are really enjoying it there. I remember when I was in school we had older people who came back to study and they all got along very well. I really like hanging around with them because they have a much better perspective about life. I realise many of us get along better with older students than with the younger ones because of that wisdom and maturity that comes along with age. I am sure you are doing very fine and all is going well with you. Wishing you all the best.

Congratulations! Don't let age hold you back from working towards your goals and achieving your dreams. I have a neighbor who used to be in the banking industry and decided to go back to school to become a lawyer. He is happy and glad he made the change. Good luck to you and may you have a happy New Year.
