Very slow internet connections

Did anyone noticed that connections of the internet is getting very slow?News last night have explained this.It's because of the earthquake in Taiwan that have affected the cable wires undersea.Connections from the Philippines pass thru the seas of Taiwan before it'll reach USA&Canada.How about the other countries?...are you affected with this?Because even cellphone signals here are very much affected.
