this is a big question for pc enthusiasts... im with AMD although they got beaten this time by INTELS so called Core 2 Duo

well i'm with INTEL cause intel has more durability in time then AMD trust me i hav 10 computers :6 INTELS and 4 AMDs same frequancy and the amd frequancy in time slowed down

it's not just the processor's it's the whole specifications your considering in comparing life spans of a processor... it depend's also on how the user handles his/her pc

Intel duo cores are supposed to be able to run two programs at speeds equivalent to the one core. Ie 2 programs at 2.4ghz at one I saw today. So if your on the net and playing a game in windowed mode like I do, both will run much faster than with say a 3.2ghz single core as that has to be shared between the programs. I am interested in this at the moment as I could be buying a new pc soon.

Core 2 Duo = sweet As far as i observed Intel's Core 2 Duo is best for applications/multitasking on th other hand AMD's Athlon 64 X2 5000+ does an impressive performance on gaming

i have a ama . i think that intel is more good than AMd. they are the best. i think i will buy a new computer with INTEL CELERON 3300+.

i prefer AMD since i am using one.I use AMD because --comparatively cheap --high performance --high stabilty --greater support for gaming i recommned AMD FX 64 bit computing.It has many advantage over intel pentium 4 processors.but i heard that intel pentium duo core2 is much better than other precedures and a like performance with AMD 64.so i f you are going to buy a new computer either you go for AMD FX 64 or Pentium 4 Duo core 2. thank you!
