Would you join a communal living society? What are the good and bad points?

A community where everyone works together for the good of all, growing your own food, everyone helping others, and non one who works goes without what they need...what do you think would be the good and bad points of doing this?

This has a lot of good points. Fresh healthy food, peaceful environment, etc. But, as in any society, SOMEONE will need to be in charge. The idea of all working together is a great one, but there still has to be a decision maker in the group. And this person can sometimes very quickly become consumed with "power."

Yes, I agree...too bad that the power trips take over what is meant to be a great community...thank you
