if you can cure an incurable disease, what would it be?

after seeing several patients and telling them that their situation is terminal, it makes me wonder why cant we cure them? all we can do is supportive treatment and to try to prolong and improve theor quality of life. its so sad sometimes.. hence, if u can cure an incurable disease, what would it be? and if you care to discuss, WHY?

i think i would choose AIDS because so much innocent kids are being afflicted with it. its so damn unfair that they suffer the disease when they did nothing to deserve it. i really hate injustice! and i think it would be better if the cure for aids will only work for kids so that the adults can learn to be more responsible. grrrr
