Time and Tide

Time and Tide Time flies in haste, Tide sings in ebb and flow. Clock goes round apace, To memory my heart ticks slow. Hours fell on your face unawares, Stories set sail on a silvery night. Minutes froze dead a gaze unpaired, Smiles grew on whispers with delight. Seconds sent a beat amiss, In your eyes dwelt the lost angel. The moment I received your kiss, A duet gayly came off from a solo. Time and tide waits, For the ebb to subside; Time and tide waits, For the flow to rise.
