Well you gotta talk to him about the issue and decide who of the two of you is more likely to make a lasting relationship out of it. If you cant agree its obvious neither of you really likes her all that much and just like the idea of going out with her so the pair of you should agree to give up. It becomes a problem when you cant decide then one of you keeps hanging out with her as this will cause fireworks.
