If California is so bad...

I never want to hear about why it is that California is such a terrible place. You would never know it from the traffic that I sat in all day (and I mean ALL day) yesterday, from the time I left my home in Helendale at 11:20 in the morning, until I returned home at precisely 7:30 P.M. that evening. If we are such horrible people, and our traffic is terrible, our people are goofy and aloof, our cost of living and our standards of living are too high, then don't come back, okay? Don't bother visiting and don't bother showing up in your large and clumsy RVs. What normally takes me 4 hours to do took me 8 hours yesterday, and it was awful. I have not seen so much traffic in years, and it was the first time that I had enough "down time" in traffic to be able to sit and count a license plate from every single one of the states in the nation, yes, even Alaska and Hawaii. Folks, if it is so bad here, you wouldn't know it from the traffic on not just one freeway, but ALL the freeways. There were no good traffic reports, just lots and lots of people on the road. Thanksgiving was not this bad. If you are all going to come here and visit and vacation and go to Grandma's house, then please, read and laern, okay? 1- Do not fear the locals- we are not that bad, and frankly you would learn much from us in regards to driving skills. Just learn that the rule is the same as the old saying "When in Rome, do as the Romans do." Okay, when in Cali,it is okay to drive like the locals do. 2-STOP braking for every single little turn! My gosh, folks! The turn at the Glen Helen Offramp is FAR too wide and way too big for any of you to be stepping on your brakes. If the turn is that dangerous, stay in the lane furthest to the right. You are making the people who pay taxes on the turn you are now braking on bananas. 3-Remember that wherever it is that you are going, someone lives there and even though you are on vacation, someone is going HOME, okay? Have a little respect for the locals, all of us, because there is nothing worse than someone who will whine about us and then drive badly on our roads, cause massive accidents, and have the nerve to blame us for it all! We don't really mind that you are here until you have the nerve to be here and complain about it! But seriously, the next time you come to California, even though you may be on vacation, it would be nice if you all rememebered that WE GOTTA LIVE HERE, okay? AUNTY

No, ALL 50? That's why I try to stay local now. I'm really stubborn and instead of moving, I'm hoping that they'll all move back to their own homes! Aloha!

Yes- All dang 50 of them...I live pretty close to Las Vegas. It's not unusual but so many cars on that day of the week is certainly not normal! AUNTY
