yes Americans still drive big cars and trucks..as my Ford Explorer is considered a truck..but it handles like a car..but I also have a Ford Ranger and they both have the same size engine...so the m.p.g. is about the same..but I prefer the small pickup ..but my wife usually drives the exploer..they are both four wheel drive..as we live in Michigan and there is a lot of snow and ice in the winter...I have driver smaller cars but I prefer to spend the money as we are both retired and we only drive locally ...bigger cars and trucks are more comfortable on a long trip.
