Disability is Not the "Problem"

People with disabilities are not broken, and they don't need to be fixed! Contrary to popular belief, legal equality and "special" services cannot guarantee inclusion, dignity, freedom, friendships, choice, self-direction, being seen as a valuable and competent human being, and many of the other ordinary, but precious, opportunities and experiences most of us take for granted. Don't these typical opportunities represent basic and inherent human rights that apply to each and every one of us? What is you opinion?
