It is impossible to make a choice. Each football/soccer player of his generation is different. Conditions were different, equipment was different. Who's to say that Pele or Maradona weren't greater than Zidane, Beckham, Eusebio, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho or Cristiano Ronaldo. They all played in different eras and in different positions. There are those who think Pelé is the greatest while others will dispute that and say it was Maradona. Many players have received the Player of the Year Award and shouldn't they be included in the list of the greatest? If push came to shove, at the moment I would have to choose a 20 year old who is showing that he can play with the best and succeed...Cristiano Ronaldo. If he continues to play as well as he is playing now and is not hampered by serious injuries during his career who knows how far he will go.
