The reviews have been rather wishy-washy, and so I saw it for myself on Tuesday night. Now we can judge for ourselves...
It was pretty good, not by any means an Oscar, but great for diehard Rocky fans. The dialoque is good. The acting is good. Some belabored flashbacks and some overdone scenes that seemed a little scripted, but overall a great movie for lovers of the Italian Stallion. It does carry with it a strong connection to the old Rockys.
Let me put it this way, if you liked Rocky and were sad to see him come to a depressing end in Rocky V, you'll find this a much better end to the series.

I only saw the first half of the movie. It was pretty entertaining although unrealistic and a little hard to watch at times. I think Sly Stallone definitely has the character of Rocky down--he should, he created him--and can easily slip into that character. IT was funny how out of date Rocky's phrases and jokes were and how lame a lot of the things he said were. I think we were supposed to think he is "old school" and simple minded. It was decent--I want to see the second half.

Well i saw the movie since i was a big Fan of the Rocky series basically....but i was thoroughly disappointed ! there was no script , acting ws ok , and the worst ws the fight also semmed all made up !
I was expecting something good as such , considering The Italian Stallion in it and as a director too...buh no ! the movie jus ddnt work well !
