Check the local newspapers. Sometimes they have different types of groups listed for single mom's and other things like that.

I'm not single, and I'm not looking to meet new people, but try going to the library, school things with your kids, grocery stores (don't be in a hurry!), other stores. Make it a point to be friendly and at least say hello to people. You don't have to make a big deal out of it, just notice who's there and be polite. You'll be surprised at the people you'll meet.

Spend the day at the libary . you meet all kinds there.. I knew a girl that used to drop things so the guys would stop and pick them up for her .. join a club ..
