Softdrinks contain a high level of sugar that can lead you to have Diabetes when you age. That is why i dont drink soda most of the time. Only when I dine out.

It's because of the high calorie level I guess. The more you take the more horizontally challeged you become... I don;t know much about the pesticides case. If that is the case, sure will cause cancer...Whatever you do don't take much softdrinks. Anything overtaken is bad for health..

I have not heard of any cancer-causing effects of coke. But I know for sure that drinking it does 0% positive things for your body, while simultaneously damaging it in multiple ways. You might have heard th story that a mother put her child's milk tooth in a glass of coke, and it dissolved in a week. You can imagine what it does to your bones then - it dissolves the calcium. If you are not drinking enough milk, the result is disasterous. These drinks contribute to osteoporosis, which is a weakness on bones - people with this disease are prone to breaking their bones very easily at the slightest fall. Osteoporosis was a post-pms problem, but now men and young people have it too, thanks to coke (as young as 10 year olds) They are nothing but empty calories, and absolutely no nutrition value

I dont have concrete info on this. But as far as my knowledge goes, soft drinks contain a very high amount of sugar. The carbon content plus dissolved carbon dioxide when taken into the body affect the bones & muscles so severely that chances of collapse at an old age becomes high. The calcium content in the bones keeps on getting neutralised and due to this the person becomes slimmer and sleeker. That's all i could think of!
