Todays cartoons

Are todays cartoons becoming to violent and unruly for our children to watch. I have seen some cartoons that are just ridiculous and awful. What's your opinion?

I think there are alot of cartoon programs that are just to violent and vulgar for children to watch. I limit my children to programs that are education to an extent. I turn to cartoon network sometimes and I am appalled that people would let their children watch some of these things.
