What does this diet entail???? Someone just suggested it in response to another posting and I'm just curious. Is it no carbs or counting calories or what. Your help is appreciated.

I know some people who lost weight using this. They did not have to lose the amount of weight I did. One of the girls in my office sent me the info and phase one is extremely restrictive. I knew just looking at it, it wasn't the plan for me. But it may work for you. If I do go back on a plan it will be weight watchers because every food has a point value and you are allowed so many points a day depending on your weight. You have to get so many breads, dairy, fruits and veggies, fats and others in. You can earn extra points by exercising. Also if you have a special occasion coming up you can bank points to use that night. That is how it used to work. Simple and they give you a book with all the common foods and the point values in them. But if you have a lot of will power the South Beach Diet is a good one. Searh the web for info. Phase one elimates fruit, bread, rice, potatoes, pasta, acholol, sugar and baked goods for two weeks. This can be longer depending on the amount of weight you have to lose.

The way I understand it, it is pretty balanced. Healthy carbs, healthy fats emphasis.Portion control of course. I have not tried it myself but I know of people who feel really good while following it. Good Luck if you try it.
